Outfit: Fuchsia and Red

Happy Monday everyone!

...and you thought I wasn't wearing any leopard today!

I am so glad to finally be back stateside. Our trip was great, but I have missed my dogs, tv shows and good food.  I spent most of yesterday unpacking, doing laundry, and finishing the season change clothing swap in my closet.  I was shocked at how cold it had gotten since we left Atlanta; it felt like someone hit the fast forward button through Fall and took us straight to Winter.  With that being said, this is an outfit I wore shortly before we left for our trip.

Thank you so much for reading!

Outfit: Monochromatic In Chocolate Brown

I have decided to take a crack at a monotone outfit. This is my way of easing into this trend. What better way to do this than with a dress!

I will be catching you up on my travels very soon.  We have three more days before we will be back in the country.

As always, thank you so much for reading!

Outfit: Starting To Feel A Lot Like Fall : Leopard and Stripes

Hello everyone!

I arrived back in town last night from my trip to Louisiana and discovered my husband had not packed his suitcase for our trip that leaves TONIGHT! He then tells me this morning that I can pack it for him, but he says it like he had just told me I could go on a shopping spree.  I can't believe he thought that was going to work.

I have been packing and unpacking all morning, trying to get my suitcase under the 50 lbs weight limit.  I can't wait to get on the plane, so I can finally get a little rest.

I will be updating you on all of our adventures in Dubai and Istanbul very soon.

Pretty In Pink

Happy Tuesday everyone!

Today is my last day here in the Bayou State. As a foodie, I always enjoy my visits here, because of all of the good local cuisine and my cousin's excellent cooking. I hope I haven't done too much damage.  I'm too afraid to get on the scale to see if I've gained, what I call, "The Louisiana 5".

This is Kaylor, my little 11 year old cousin! When I planned my trip to Louisiana, I called her and told her to get an outfit ready, so I could feature her on my blog. I knew she would be super excited since she visits The Serena Sage everyday, and excited she was. She didn't have 1 outfit ready; she had 4!

My little cousin is only 11 and she's already 5'8''.  She has super long legs, just like her mother, that go on for days; aren't you just envious of them - I know I am! She played her first year of volleyball this year, maybe we have a future Olympian in the making.

Do you see the leopard belt? That was all her idea! She knows how much I'm loving animal print these days.

Outfit: Teal Peplum Dress

Hello everyone!

It has been a very busy week for me. I've been packing for two trips, and it doesn't help that the climates are on the opposite ends of the spectrum...not to mention I am an avid over-packer. I'm flying out to visit my family in Louisiana, where the weather is still hot and humid. I am due back in Atlanta next Tuesday, and leaving the next evening with my husband and mother to Dubai and Istanbul for 10 days. Dubai's weather is going to be very similar to Louisiana's minus the humidity, and Istanbul is going to be between 50 and 60 degrees. Can you see my dilemma?

As always, thank you so much for reading!

Outfit: Tweed and Gold Sequins

Lately I've been OBSESSING over leopard, which you have probably already figured out. It would be safe to say that I wear something leopard at least 3-4 times a week. I literally have to stop myself most mornings from adding leopard to my daily outfits (like here and here).

I recently came across this picture on Pinterest, and fell in love with this combo. Can you guess why? I immediately started thinking of ways I could  recreate this look; and after shopping my closet, this is what I came up with.

What do you think?

When I saw this skirt I instantly fell in love with it, because of the two textures - the tweed and faux leather waistband. Combining textures adds interest to an outfit. Here I have the sequins of my top, the calf-hair of my clutch, and the tweed and faux leather waistband of my skirt. This makes an outfit that I love, full of 'interest'!

I think Saturday was our last day of warm weather here in Atlanta. We woke up to 50 degree weather on Sunday and today, so I think it's safe to say you won't see anymore outfits like this for a while.

Thank you so much for reading!
